On the warm and pleasant day of June 11th, members of the Intelligent Perception and Control Lab (IPCL) set aside their work on algorithms and matrices to embark on a refreshing team-building retreat. Their destination was the idyllic She Village, a hidden gem nestled in the verdant landscapes of Nanjing's Jiangning District, offering a perfect half-day escape into tranquility and rustic charm.

As our team arrived, we were immediately attracted by an atmosphere of serene beauty. She Village presents a masterful blend of the past and present, where traditional Jiangnan-style farmhouses, thoughtfully restored, stand in peaceful harmony with vibrant green rice paddies and lush vegetable fields. The air, free from the city's hustle, carried the scent of earth and blossoms, instantly setting a tone of relaxation and creative rejuvenation.

Our exploration began with a leisurely stroll through the village's winding stone-paved alleys. Each turn revealed a new delight, from quaint, artistic shops showcasing local crafts to the irresistible aroma of freshly baked cakes from the renowned Lao Wang's Baked Cakes.

A highlight of our visit was the discovery of the Clay House. This charming pottery studio, a testament to artisanal skill, offered a fascinating glimpse into the world of handcrafted ceramics. For a team accustomed to the precision of engineering, observing the organic forms and earthy textures provided a delightful new perspective on design and creation. We also found respite in Chunfu, a beautifully designed space exuding a "Wabi-Sabi" aesthetic of rustic elegance. Its tranquil courtyard, a composition of natural elements and understated design, provided a perfect backdrop for quiet conversation and reflection, allowing us to connect on a deeper level.

The true spirit of the day, however, was found in the shared moments of joy and camaraderie. Against the picturesque backdrop of rolling hills and distinctive local architecture, we captured memories of our time together. The cheerful group photos are a testament to the strong bonds that unite our team, both inside and outside the laboratory.

This excursion to She Village was far more than a simple outing; it was an investment in our collective spirit. It provided a valuable opportunity to decompress, to find inspiration in nature and art, and to strengthen the collaborative fabric that is central to IPCL's success. As we returned to our research, we brought back not only fond memories but also a renewed sense of energy and team cohesion.

We believe that these shared experiences are fundamental to fostering the creativity and synergy required to push the boundaries of intelligent perception and control. The IPCL team looks forward to more such activities that enrich our minds and strengthen our bonds.
